Year 11 and 12 Health & Social Care students attended an event at New Cross Hospital on Wednesday 20th December 2017. The event aimed to give valuable insight into the numerous healthcare roles available and also highlight the great work and responsibilities involved . We were welcomed by the Royal Wolverhampton Trust Work Experience Team and Chief Nurse Cheryl Etches.
The day was well organised and students were given information about work placement opportunities at New Cross Hospital, nursing and midwifery pathways and University of Wolverhampton degree applications. Students also participated in ward rounds, workshops and an interactive ‘Sim Ward’ where trainee healthcare professionals simulate real life patient cases in a hospital ward setting.
