Year 9 Students Engage in STEM Day Hosted By RAF

Last Monday, 100 year 9 students were involved in a STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Maths) day hosted by the RAF.

They had to design and build a radio tower to help with land-air communication, program a robot to save survivors from a natural disaster and build an elastic powered plane that could pick up enough speed to take off. They all succeeded and were a real credit to the school.

If you are interested in joining the school’s STEM society or want to know more about engineering or opportunities in the RAF, please see Mr Darby.
