Futures Evening at Heath Park

You are invited to attend the Futures Evening for Heath Park students on 14th November 2019 from 5:00pm – 7:30pm at the GTG West Midlands Conference Centre.

All students in England are required to remain in some form of education until the age of 18. This can be school, college, and apprenticeship or other employment with an element of education. The Futures Evening is designed to provide all the information needed to make positive next steps.

The majority of students continue into Post 16 study at Heath Park. We work in collaboration with Moseley Park and Coppice Performing Arts School as ‘Central Sixth’ to provide an extremely wide range of academic and vocational subjects at Level 3. This allows us to support all students to follow the pathway of their choice and to successfully move on to further study or the world of work at 18. We are very proud to say that our outcomes at Post 16 are one of the highest of any school in Wolverhampton and that many of our students go on to the best universities in the country (including Oxford and Cambridge) and the highest quality employment with some of the world’s best companies (including Rolls Royce).

The Options Evening is an opportunity to meet with staff who will be delivering the different subjects and find out more about the courses on offer. In order to ensure you can speak to staff from all three schools we are holding a joint options evening at the GTG Conference Centre this year rather than separate evenings at each school.

There will also be a presentation at 5.30pm, repeated at 6.30pm, from Mrs Stroud (Head of Sixth at Heath Park) on life in the Sixth Form, what is offered beyond the curriculum and applications process.
