Transition Information for Parents – New Year 7 2020

A very warm welcome to all of our new year 7 students!

I am delighted that you have chosen to come to Heath Park and that you have secured your place for September. Miss Foster will be your Year Lead and my role is to work with you and your wonderful form tutors and teaching staff to ensure that you are happy in school, make the best progress that you can and take part in all of the many extra-curricular activities that we have on offer.

It has been a real pleasure to find out all about you from your Year 6 teachers and we know that you have so much to offer Heath Park when you arrive. We are really looking forward to meeting you in person and getting to know each one of you when we have our Friday hot chocolate rewards. Until then, please keep reading the updates on this part of our website and use the links below to find out more.

The new Heath Park School is truly breathtaking and we are so proud of the fact that we now have outstanding facilities that our outstanding students deserve. We are confident that you will find the years spent with us valuable, successful and happy.

Parent packs are going in the post on Friday 5th June containing important information from our uniform suppliers. You will also be asked to fill in and return a range of documents and post back to school – we have enclosed a stamped addressed envelope for your convenience.

Please check this page regularly as will will post any updates regarding transition plans.

Miss McGee and Miss Guy

Hi 7GY. We are looking forward to meeting you. This year we would like you to be brave when you arrive at this new school and understand that everything won’t go right all the time – but that’s what we’re here for.

Grasp every new opportunity that is offered you – clubs, trips, lessons.

Don’t expect everything to fall into place immediately. Life isn’t like that.

Work hard – that is what school is all about. Ask when you don’t understand. It’s sometimes hard to do but it will make your experience of school so much better

Finally and most importantly be PROUD of your efforts.
