Year 10 GCSE Drama Theatre Trip Blood Brothers

Year 10 GCSE Drama students were given the opportunity to attend the Birmingham Hippodrome on Thursday 3rd October to watch a live performance of “Blood Brothers”. This is in preparation for their Component 3 – Theatre Makers exam (40%), in particular Section B – Live Theatre responding as audience member to live theatre.

The pupils studying Eduqas GCSE Drama enjoyed watching Blood Brothers TUK Touring company presentation of main characters Mickey and Eddie – twins separated at birth reconnect in a cold and troubling society – grow from babies into men and the consequences of ignoring superstition.

The Y10 students from Heath Park behaved exceptionally and were ambassadors to the school. Ms Thomas said “It is always lovely to see young people engaged in the theatre and the group that watched Blood Brothers have certainly proved that through the focus and attention they pay to their studies, we are very proud of them.”

A big thank you to parents and guardian’s for your continued support.

Best Wishes,

Miss A Thomas
