Year 9 Performing Arts Students Showcase Their Incredible Talent
On Monday 26 March, 23 Year 9 Performing Arts students had the exciting opportunity to work alongside former students of Heath Park and graduates of Wolverhampton University.
They celebrated the work of BAME writers and composers, through a ten-week programme of practical sessions, exploring a range of musical numbers from Hamilton, In the Heights, The Color Purple and The Wiz.
The students had the opportunity to engage in a range of practical workshops aimed to inspire them, in aid of supporting their future progression into higher education. The work created was on display in a talent showcase at the Wolverhampton Arena on Monday 26th March.
Miss Thomas, the Performing Arts teacher said: “The students were outstanding, displaying their talent in an inspiring and creative way. Well done to those students who took part, and for their outstanding commitment. The outcome was excellent.”
