Amazing Student Makes Protective Gear For NHS
We have some incredible, selfess students here at Heath Park. One of those is Brock Daffern, a sixth form student who has been making protective gear for NHS staff using his own 3D printer.
Brocks mom saw on facebook that a friend was printing protective visors for the NHS and other key-workers. Since Brock had a 3D printer too he was able to get started making them straight away. In total Brock has printed over 100 protective visors already!
Brocks family were then put in touch with Samantha from the NHS, who has been nice enough to collect these items and distribute them amongst the staff at New Cross Hospital.
Needless to say, Brock has shown great ingenuity and selflessness. Everyone at Heath Park is incredibly proud!
If you have any stories about what you’ve been up to in lockdown we would love to hear about them. You can email webdev@heathpark.net with details and a photo and be featured on our site.
