Sports Day – Important Information

Sports Day – Friday 10 July

On Friday 10 July, Year 7–10 students will take part in the annual Sports Day at Aldersley Stadium.

Key Stage 3 ( Current Year 7 and 8) students should arrive and register as normal at 8.45am. Key Stage 4 students ( current Year 9 and 10)  should report to form at 9:45 am. Return-we aim to leave Aldersley Stadium at 1:30 pm for KS3 students and 2:15 pm for KS4 students. Students will be dismissed upon their return to school.

Important – Hot Weather Forecast

With warm weather currently forecast for Friday, it is essential that all students come prepared for the conditions.  Students must bring:

  • A refillable water bottle with plenty of water (no energy drinks or fizzy drinks)
  • Sun cream/sunscreen, applied before arriving at school and brought with them for reapplication if required
  • A hat or cap (recommended)
  • Any necessary medication, including asthma inhalers

Throughout the day, students will be required to remain in the sheltered stadium area with their form groups when not competing. This will help to minimise unnecessary exposure to the sun and ensure students remain safe and comfortable.

PE Kit Requirements

All students must wear the full Heath Park PE kit or BTEC sport kit and suitable trainers. Under no circumstances should students wear anything other than the approved PE kit. For health and safety reasons, no jewellery is to be worn.

Mobile Phones and Valuable Items

In line with the school policy, mobile phones should be either kept at home or locked away in bags at all times.

Lunch Arrangements

Students will need to bring a packed lunch. A packed lunch will be provided for students who are entitled to free school meals.

Any students with asthma must bring their inhalers on the day.

We look forward to an enjoyable and successful Sports Day and thank you for your support in ensuring students are fully prepared for the expected warm weather conditions.
