Black History Month Careers Event Inspires Heath Park Students

Heath Park School was proud to host a special Black History Month Careers Event on Wednesday 14th October, bringing together students and professionals from a range of industries to share experiences, insights, and career journeys.

The event provided students with a valuable opportunity to engage directly with professionals, learn about different career pathways, and gain a deeper understanding of the skills and determination needed to succeed in a variety of fields. Throughout the sessions, students demonstrated impressive curiosity and maturity, asking thoughtful, intelligent, and thought-provoking questions that led to engaging discussions.

A particular highlight of the event was seeing students actively participate in conversations with our guest speakers, showing a genuine interest in learning from their experiences and gaining advice about future opportunities. Their enthusiasm and confidence reflected the positive impact that meaningful employer encounters can have on young people’s aspirations.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of the professionals who generously gave up their time to support the event. By sharing their personal and professional journeys, they provided valuable inspiration and encouragement for our students, helping them to broaden their horizons and see the many possibilities available to them.

Events such as these play an important role in raising aspirations, promoting representation, and inspiring the next generation of leaders and professionals. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to making the event such a success and look forward to continuing to provide opportunities that empower our students to achieve their goals.
