Black History Month Braiding Workshop

As part of our Black History Month celebrations, 30 students took part in an engaging and hands-on braiding workshop led by Hair by Tia.

The session provided students with the opportunity to learn about the skill, creativity and cultural significance of hair braiding, while developing practical techniques through guided demonstrations and activities. Throughout the workshop, students showed great enthusiasm, asked thoughtful questions and eagerly practised their new skills.

It was fantastic to see students so engaged and willing to learn something new. By the end of the session, they had gained a deeper appreciation of braiding as both an art form and an important aspect of Black culture and heritage. A huge thank you to Hair by Tia for delivering such an informative and inspiring workshop. The event was a wonderful addition to our Black History Month programme and was enjoyed by all who attended
