Speakers for Schools virtual talk
Year 10 Business and ICT students are engaging in the Speakers for Schools virtual talks as part of the ‘Predict 22’ campaign, offering young people insights into tech-enabled careers.
The pandemic has forced industry to embrace technology, among us the most digitally and technically aware generation to date. Careers in the tech industry will be vital to the success of the economy, yet many of these careers are yet to exist. The talks are an introduction into career possibilities that young people may have never considered.
ICT
Students will be watching a broadcast with Visual Effects Artists from the Head of Production at Nviz. The talk will focus on the changing world of VFX and the predictions for the future of VFX!
Business
Students will watching a live broadcast from the Former Vice President of Spotify Europe. He will be speaking to them about careers in advertising in the digital era and how we can make advertising more diverse and inclusive.
There will also be a talk from the Former Vice Chancellor of Aberdeen University speaking to students about how they can make the most out of opportunities throughout their life and career.
