Year 9 Leaders – Woden Primary School Celebration Event

Our Year 9 Leaders were delighted to receive a warm welcome back to Woden Primary School following their fantastic support at the school’s recent Sports Day. The visit provided an opportunity to celebrate not only the sporting success achieved by Woden pupils, but also the positive contribution our Year 9 students made in helping to organise activities, encourage participants and ensure the events ran smoothly. Their leadership, enthusiasm and commitment were praised by staff throughout the Sports Day, making them excellent role models for younger pupils.

A particular highlight of the celebration was the chance to meet Wolverhampton Wanderers Women’s captain Anna Morphet and first-team player Louanne Worsey. Fresh from helping Wolves Women secure promotion to WSL2, the players joined pupils and staff to celebrate sporting achievement and inspire the next generation of athletes.

Students had the unique opportunity to ask questions about life as professional footballers, learn about the dedication required to compete at the highest level and hear first-hand about the team’s successful promotion campaign. There was also plenty of excitement as pupils and Year 9 Leaders posed for photographs and collected autographs from the Wolves stars.

We would like to thank Woden Primary School for their warm hospitality and congratulate Anna Morphet, Louanne Worsey and everyone at Wolves Women on their fantastic achievement. We look forward to continuing our strong partnership with Woden and creating more opportunities for our students to lead, inspire and support their local community.
